Grimm Fairy Tales #83 Cover A by Anthony Spay

 

Greetings, friends!  You may notice that there’s no new Sparkshooter page this week.  It wasn’t our original intention to have a skip week, but it became unavoidable.  Part of the reason is that, unfortunately, Sarah is battling a recurrence of her previous drawing-hand difficulties.  Please join me in hoping that she overcomes it soon! If we have to extend our break, we may have Connor and Kyle come back for another go-round.

In the meantime, I’ll update you with some of my other work.  The first four issues of my run on Grimm Fairy Tales Myths & Legends have been collected in the Volume 4 trade, and the remainder of the run, issues 22 thru 25, will be collected in Volume 5, due on March 26th.  On March 20, you’ll be able to find my first issue of Zenescope’s flagship title, Grimm Fairy Tales, in stores.  I’m writing #83 and #84; see the great Anthony Spay cover above. Looking ahead, I’m writing the three-issues Zombies: The Cursed mini-series that ties in to Zenescope’s huge Unleashed event; look for the first issue in July.  I’ll  have more news about my writing soon.

The Sparkshooter Holiday Schedule

This Week . . .

Yes, kids; there will be another new page of Sparkshooter this week!  We hit Page 34 and see two members of our little group forming plans to pursue their own secret agenda!  Or maybe just beer.  Tune in!

Additionally, Grimm Fairy Tales Myths & Legends, the comic that Troy writes for Zenescope Entertainment, drops issue #23 this week!  This issue is the second part of the epic “The Summoning” arc.  Cover A is by Giuseppe Cafaro (above) and Cover B is by EricJ. Written by me from a story by me, Raven Gregory, Ralph Tedesco and Joe Brusha. Art by Tony Donley. Letters by Jim Campbell.  Colors by Marc Lewis.

The official description: ““The Summoning” story arc continues here and the Grimm Universe will never be the same. With all three pieces of the amulet finally brought together, the key gem is the final item needed in order to summon Helios from his eternal prison. Using the shards, Baba Yaga, the Sea Witch and Venus track down the Innocent, who holds the key. The only thing standing between them and world domination is Samantha, and things are not looking good for the guardian of the Nexus.”

Back on the Sparkshooter front, Sarah seems to be recovering quite nicely, and is doing pioneering research in the field of connecting a drawing tablet directly into your brain.  We’re committed to bringing you regular pages, but we will be announcing a brief December holiday break before too long.
